Vinifera Organically Grown Tempranillo 2024 from Mudgee follows the estate’s now‑benchmark style: certified organic, vibrant and mid‑weight with plenty of juicy fruit backed by serious tannin shape and acid line. It builds on the much‑praised 2023 release with a similarly drinkable but thoughtfully structured profile.

In the glass you can expect soft, rounded raspberry, blueberry and sour‑cherry fruit, cherry‑cola and subtle spice, with a little dried herb and earthy savouriness creeping in as it opens. The palate is medium‑bodied and juicy but not loose, with well‑balanced acidity and fine, chalky, lingering tannins that dry gently through the finish, giving the wine a touch of seriousness despite its easy charm.

Vinifera Organic Tempranillo 2024 will be superb with Spanish‑leaning dishes – think chorizo, paella, grilled lamb cutlets, charred vegetables, tapas or pizza – and it’s a great candidate to serve slightly chilled on warm evenings. With the previous vintage rated 92 points and recommended to five years, you can happily drink this young for its vibrant fruit or let it evolve in the cellar over the medium term.
