Nebbiolo Wine

Nebbiolo is a red for those who love a challenge—both in the vineyard and in the glass. It’s pale in colour but packs a punch with firm tannins and high acidity, making it a wine that really rewards patience and a bit of cellaring. Expect classic aromas of rose petals, cherries, earth, and a whiff of tar, with flavours that lean into red fruits, dried herbs, and a savoury edge.

In Australia, Nebbiolo is still a bit of a rarity, but it’s finding its groove in cooler, elevated regions like the Yarra Valley, Adelaide Hills, Beechworth, and even Tasmania. The style here is often a touch more approachable than the Italian originals, but still unmistakably Nebbiolo—structured, aromatic, and built to age. If you’re after something with Pinot Noir’s elegance but more grip and complexity, Nebbiolo is well worth a spot in your cellar.
