About this product

Brash Higgins RIPPLE Nero Shiraz 2024 is a distinctive natural wine from McLaren Vale by winemaker Brad Hickey. It is a co-fermented blend of Nero d’Avola (Nero) and Shiraz, done in the amphora-style tradition inspired by Sicilian wines. The grapes come from the organically farmed Omensetter Vineyard on limestone-rich red-brown clay soils. The wine is fermented naturally in locally made terracotta amphorae and spends 6 months on skins, creating a textural, earthy, and vividly aromatic wine. Tasting notes include ripe red cherries, sour cherry, herbs, and earthy complexity with fine tannins and a fresh, saline finish. The wine embodies rustic Old World character with a modern natural wine sensibility, making it well-regarded among critics and wine enthusiasts for its finesse and individuality.
