In the glass, this Mount Edward Chenin Blanc 2021 shows pale lemon‑green colour and aromas of grapefruit, mandarin, pear and white peach, with hints of green herbs, honeysuckle and a touch of honeycomb over a chalky, leesy core. The palate is tight yet plush – mouth‑watering acidity, pithy citrus, savoury nuances and a supple, barrel‑aged texture that fills the mouth then finishes long, pithy and mineral. It’s all fermented with vineyard yeasts in older French oak, then aged 16 months on lees for extra depth.
