Mount Edward Pinot Noir 2022 (12 Bottles) Central Otago, NZ
About this product
Mount Edward Pinot Noir 2022 from Central Otago is a perfumed, organically grown blend of the estate’s best vineyard parcels, offering a beautifully poised take on the region’s signature red. The nose is all red and darker berry fruits with lifted florals, spice, dried herbs and savoury earth, showing impressive detail without feeling overdone. On the palate, this 2022 Mount Edward Pinot Noir is mid‑weight yet powerful, with a delicious core of cherry and currant, fine but firm tannins, bright acidity and a long, chewy finish that speaks of real class.
It is spot on with roast duck, lamb rack or pork belly, where the acidity slices through the richness and the savoury herb notes mirror classic roast trimmings. It will also sing alongside mushroom risotto, lentil dishes or a truffled potato bake if you are leaning vegetarian. With a 95‑point nod from Cameron Douglas MS and best drinking from 2026 through 2033, it is a cracking candidate for the cellar as well as the dinner table.
Think of this as your serious yet approachable Central Otago all‑rounder – complex enough for Pinot geeks, but generous and seamless enough to impress anyone at the table.
