Blank Canvas Una Volta Pinot Noir 2018 is an exceptional one-off Central Otago release from Blank Canvas winemakers Matt Thomson and Sophie Parker-Thomson MW, made from organically farmed Queensberry fruit between Wanaka and Cromwell. Drawn solely from free-run juice and bottled unfiltered, it is a dark, powerful yet remarkably poised expression of New Zealand Pinot Noir.

Blackberry compote, dark cherry, ripe plum and violet perfume build through liquorice, star anise, baking spice and a savoury smoky-bacon edge. The palate is creamy, velvety and dense, with polished fine tannins providing an iron-fist-in-a-velvet-glove structure. Blank Canvas Una Volta 2018 retains terrific freshness and energy through its long, complex finish.
