The nose is hugely floral with violet lift, red and black cherry, blackberry and cola berry, layered over sweet vanilla, cinnamon, dark chocolate, mocha and a lick of charry oak. The palate is full‑bodied and plush, with a sweet fruit entry, lashings of black and blue fruits, vanilla spice, milk chocolate, cacao nib, earth and a suggestion of juniper, all wrapped in firm yet silky tannins and an exceptionally long, powerful finish.

Food‑wise, it’s tailor‑made for roast lamb with rosemary, slow‑cooked beef cheeks, rich beef pies or a big rib‑eye off the grill, and it absolutely loves aged cheddar or Gouda on the side.
