Fermoy Estate Sauvignon Blanc, beautifully created by winemaker Jeremy Hodgson at Fermoy Estate in Wilyabrup, Margaret River, Western Australia. The blend is 91% Sauvignon Blanc, 6% Chardonnay, and 3% Semillon, with 30% aged four months in French oak barriques (10% new), and the balance fermented cool in stainless steel to preserve aromatic freshness. It pours pale straw with green tints, offering lifted aromas of nashi pear, guava, lemon barley, jasmine plus savoury nettle and cashew notes. The palate is textured and mouth-filling: pear, melon, guava lead into toasted nut and herb layers, finishing with talc-like mineral acidity, lemon leaf and passionfruit. Awarded a Gold Medal at the 2024 Wine Show of Western Australia, it’s ready to enjoy now and will continue to delight over the next 3–4 years.
