Cumulus Vineyards Shiraz (Debbie Lauritz, Orange NSW) is a charming cool-climate shiraz that balances intensity and elegance. At 13.5% ABV, this wine matured 12 months in French oak, yielding refined structure without heaviness. Aromas of black cherry, dark plum and blackberry are interlaced with pepper, cedar and a hint of moss. The palate is medium-full bodied, with dark fruit flavours wrapped in fine tannins, whispers of liquorice and savoury spice, and a touch of vanillin from oak. It won a Bronze medal in the Orange Wine Show 2019, praised for its poise and drinking now to 2025+.
