It is now part of Barossa legend that Peter Lehmann established the winery in the late 1970s, to protect the livelihood of growers who were facing financial ruin. To this day over 140 growers, some 5th & 6th generation, supply the winery with fruit from the very best vineyards throughout the Barossa. These amazing grape resources enable Peter Lehmann to make wines for every occasion, each one crafted to deliver on quality.

This powerful and distinctive wine has been made from a small block of sustainable Shiraz vineyards grown by Ian and Daniela Hongell on the western ridge of the Barossa Valley. The vineyard sits on red brown earth over weathered ancient rock producing low yielding fruit of rich intensity.

The colour is deep with a bright edge leading to a bouquet of dark plums and mixed spice. The palate shows typical richness and is harnessed beautifully by the tannins from the ironstone rich soil to give a remarkable red wine with a great sense of place, and a long stylish finish.
