Groiss ‘Sauberg Tradition’ Grüner Veltliner is a single-vineyard wine from the Sauberg site in Weinviertel, Austria. The vineyard features old vines over 50 years in age planted on calcareous conglomerate soils. This wine is made from 100% Grüner Veltliner grapes, hand-harvested selectively in mid-October with 12 hours of skin contact before gentle pressing. It is fermented with natural vineyard yeasts in used Austrian oak barrels and aged on lees for 11 months.

The wine presents a bright yellow-green color with silver reflections and offers a delicate, complex nose with subtle scents of honey blossom, ripe mango, pineapple, and candied clementine zest. On the palate, it is elegant and textured with integrated acidity, minerality, fine spice, and delicate stone fruit. It has good aging potential and expresses the terroir’s mineral-driven character with balance and finesse.
