Metala Semper Fidelis Cabernet Sauvignon is made by Metala Wines in Langhorne Creek, South Australia, drawn from the estate’s 1891 old vines. The wine opens with aromas of crushed crimson and dark berries, lifted by cedary oak and savory forest-floor nuances. On the palate it’s rich and structured, with even, balanced tannins, deep fruit ripeness and fine integration of 50% new French oak, which adds complexity without overwhelming the core fruit. Long line and excellent length mark the finish. At 14.8% ABV, cork-sealed and vegan-friendly. 96/100 by in-house and critic estimates.
