Grùner Veltliner

Grüner Veltliner is Austria’s signature white grape, but it’s carving out a real niche in Australia—especially in the Adelaide Hills, Eden Valley, and cool-climate parts of Tasmania. Aussie Grüner is all about zesty citrus (lemon, lime, grapefruit), green apple, pear, and a trademark hit of white pepper or spice. Some versions show stone fruit, almond, or even a creamy, mealy texture, depending on the winemaker’s style.
