Our 2022 Sauvignon Blanc shows a full spectrum of the primary fruit varietal characteristics of Albany’s Cool Maritime Climate, an exceptional vintage for Wignalls estate.

Relatively rain free and moderate temperatures over a long maturing season has led to an outstanding year in Albany for fresh varietal whites. Cool ferments have retained the natural freshness and crispness of the fruit and lees were stirred post ferment (Batonnage) to gain mid weight complexity and texture.

Our Sauvignon Blanc shows intense lifted overtones of tropical fruits orchard, feijoa and jackfruit with an underlying cool climate varietal herbacousness. The complex palate is showing white stone fruit, snow peas and fresh gooseberries with considerable length.
