The Lake House Postcard Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 from Frankland River in Western Australia’s Great Southern is a beautifully juicy, medium‑bodied Cabernet with classic regional definition. Deep red with youthful purple hues, it offers a compelling mix of ripe dark fruit, leafy freshness and fine structure – an easy choice for lovers of proper Australian Cabernet.
The nose opens with blackcurrant, cassis and blackberry, woven with tobacco leaf, spice and a lifted minty edge. On the palate, briary red and dark fruits meet dark plum, cedar, cocoa and subtle savoury earthiness. The Lake House Postcard Cabernet Sauvignon has bright natural acidity and polished tannins, finishing long, dry and elegantly restrained.
This Lake House Denmark Postcard Cabernet Sauvignon is made for roast lamb, chargrilled sirloin, beef and mushroom pie, venison or a classic Sunday roast. It is also a ripper with aged cheddar, hard sheep’s cheeses and smoky barbecued vegetables.
