The 2022 Greywacke Wild Sauvignon Blanc, crafted by Kevin Judd (with Richelle Tyney) from Marlborough, New Zealand, is an outstanding barrel-fermented wine of depth and clarity. Aged in oak (7% new), it reveals aromas of guava, preserved lemon, beach shell and toasted almond, with a refined saline-umami character. The palate is textured yet vibrant, seamlessly integrating tropical stone fruit, citrus curd, and lees complexity, all framed by bright acidity and flinty minerality. Awarded 93 points by Wine Enthusiast and ranked No. 10 in Wine Spectator’s Top 100 of 2023, this is a superbly layered, food-friendly Sauvignon. A classic, compelling Marlborough benchmark.
