Grant Burge Aged Tawny NV is a classic Barossa fortified – deep amber in the glass with golden edges and a heady, nutty sweetness that immediately says after‑dinner indulgence. This Grant Burge Aged Tawny NV blends mostly grenache with mataro and shiraz, averaged around six years of age for real complexity and polish.

Expect lifted aromas of raisin, fig, burnt toffee and walnut, layered with rancio, caramel and warm spice. The palate is rich, velvety and smooth, packed with dried fruits, caramel, toffee, roasted nuts and a touch of dark chocolate, with mid‑palate sweetness beautifully balanced by an elegant, gently drying finish. It’s warming without feeling cloying.

Food‑wise, it’s superb with chocolate tarts, crème brûlée, sticky date pudding, Christmas cake, or simply a bowl of roasted nuts and aged cheddar after dinner. You can also pour it alongside charcuterie, hard cheeses and olives, or just sip it slowly on its own at 14–16 °C in a small port glass.
