Michael and Susan have made previous vintages from their home block of Cabernet Sauvignon in the past years under a different label, although Cabernet Sauvignon has never been a predominant varietal of Yelland & Papps wines, they inherited this vineyard when they purchased their property in 2010.

Cabernet Sauvignon is not the first varietal that comes to mind when thinking of the Barossa but when you take the time to reminisce over some of the famous names of the Barossa Valley, Cabernet is always in their repertoire.

Cabernet Sauvignon grows exceptionally well in the Barossa Valley and although this is the last year of this wine from our Estate vineyard it has been a lovely romance.’

Picked at the optimum timing to truly express the beauties that Cabernet portrays is vital and this wine is truly something to savour and will cellar well.
