Villa Antinori Pèppoli Chianti Classico DOCG 2022, produced by the Antinori family in the heart of Chianti Classico near Greve, is a vibrant Sangiovese-based red with a touch of Merlot and Syrah. It opens with aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and sweet spice, flowing into a medium-bodied palate with fine tannins, fresh acidity, and a subtle earthy-mineral edge. Aged partly in oak for added softness and complexity. The 2022 vintage received 91 points from James Suckling; 2023 is expected to follow suit.
