Aromatically it’s all red cherries, wild strawberry and raspberry, with violets, dried herbs, mint and a twist of licorice and sweet cinnamon over a touch of Mediterranean scrub and subtle spice. On the palate it’s medium‑bodied, juicy and elegant – cherry, plum and red berry fruit wrapped in vivid, chalky tannins, lively acidity and a distinct savoury, salty edge, finishing clean, mineral and longer than you’d expect at this level.

Food‑wise, Argiano Rosso di Montalcino 2023 is made for the table: perfect with pasta al ragù, pizza, grilled pork, roast chicken, Tuscan sausages or aged Pecorino.
