Grown at Lance’s Vineyard in St Andrews, Nillumbik Yarra Valley. Higher yielding block (1998 planting) this vintage, therefore de-classified from Lance’s Vineyard Pinot Noir.

Natural ferment, 10% whole bunches, hand plunged and foot stomped, then matured in french oak barrels (7% new) for 12 months. Bottled without fining or filtration.

Aromas of red cherry, ripe plum, whole poached strawberry, sage leaf, licorice spice, and subtle vanilla cream. On the palate very mouth-filling and juicy, rich and round red and black berries, spices, complex, soft yet long-drawn tannins, finishes with bright dark fruits.
