Deep Down Blanc, crafted by Clive Dougall and Peter Lorimer in Marlborough, New Zealand, is a sophisticated white crafted from a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. Fermented wild and aged for nine months in old oak, this organic single-vineyard wine offers enticing aromas of orange blossom, fig and egg custard, with a creamy, textured palate. Bright acidity and deft structure carry rich stone-fruit intensity and a lingering, well-balanced finish. Awarded 92 points by Ken Gargett of Winepilot and praised as “easy to miss the leesy layers … a real ‘fruit and more’ wine”.
