Windowrie Wines, nestled in Canowindra, NSW, is a celebrated family-owned estate renowned for pioneering organic winemaking in the Central Ranges. Established by David O’Dea in 1987, Windowrie began with a vision for minimal intervention and sustainable vineyard practices - laying roots in the heart of the Cowra region on a former grazing property. Over several decades, the O’Dea family have transformed their land into 150 hectares of certified organic vineyards, now recognized as one of Australia’s founding organic producers. Their commitment has earned numerous accolades, with fruit contributing both to Windowrie’s own labels and high-quality blends for other producers.

Windowrie offers a diverse range of wines reflecting regional pedigree and varietal expression. The flagship “Pig in the House” series showcases organically grown Pinot Gris, Piquepoul Blanc, Rosé, and robust reds like Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. “The Mill” label, crafted in homage to the site’s historic flour mill, highlights Pinot Noir with striking fruit and elegance. The Sakura collection draws inspiration from Cowra’s cultural ties to Japan, featuring aromatic expressions such as Sauvignon Blanc and Picpoul Blanc. Small-batch Family Reserve releases and innovative preservative-free wines round out a portfolio prized for purity, character, and sustainability.
