Eastern Peake Winery, located at Coghills Creek in the Ballarat Highlands of Victoria, is widely regarded for its pioneering role in Australian cool-climate winemaking and its unwavering commitment to site expression and sustainable viticulture. Over nearly four decades, Eastern Peake has earned a reputation among Australia’s finest boutique wineries. The initial eight acres of Pinot Noir were planted in 1983 and followed by four acres of Chardonnay in 1991. Under the stewardship of their son, winemaker Owen Latta - awarded Gourmet Traveller Wine’s “Young Winemaker of the Year” in 2018 - the wines have achieved even greater acclaim for purity, finesse, and nuanced depth.
