Precision and balance are the hallmarks of this Chardonnay. Rockmelon and golden stone fruits interplay with zesty golden kiwifruit. Crunchy acid keeps things refreshing. Naturally farmed fruit from Express Winemakers’ Kordabup (Denmark) vineyard.
The site is about 15km from the coast, so gets the cooling influence of the Indian Ocean, and faces to the southeast, contributing to the slow, gentle ripening of the grapes. Hand-picked and hand sorted in mid-March 2022, pressed to older French oak until hand-bottling in September 2022.
No pumping, fining, filtration, or sulfur additions. 11.8% ABV. Only 672 bottles.
