Tiefenbrunner “Merus” Pinot Bianco (Weissburgunder) 2023/24 – nurtured in Alto Adige’s Margreid and Cortaccia sites, this 100% Pinot Bianco is vinified in concrete and stainless steel, with four months’ lees aging, courtesy of winemaker Stephan Rohregger. Its luminous pale-yellow colour precedes flower-lifted aromas of apple, pear, and delicate tropical fruit. Fresh acidity and a mineral undercurrent underpin a harmonious, lingering finish, this Pinot Bianco is precise yet inviting – excellent now with light starters or seafood, and assuredly cellaring well for the next few years.
