Sticks Chardonnay 2024, made by Anthony Fikkers in the Yarra Valley, pours pale straw and greets with aromas of lemon, white peach, nectarine, and gentle grapefruit, backed by roasted cashews, nougat, and smoky flint. The palate is vibrant and creamy, weaving stone fruit, citrus tang and almond meal through subtle oak influence, finishing with crisp acidity and a touch of ginger spice. Awarded 92 points (Ray Jordan) – spot on for relaxed roast chook or picnic fare.
