Mezza di Mezzacorona Italian Glacial Sparkling NV, crafted by Mezzacorona in Trentino-Alto Adige at the foot of the Dolomites (Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT), this non-vintage sparkling blend (60% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Bianco, 10% Müller-Thurgau) is made by the Charmat method. Pale straw-yellow in the glass, it opens with crisp orchard fruit – red apple, pear, white peach and melon – framed by pineapple and alpine-rose florals. The palate is buoyant, with persistent small bubbles, smooth acidity and a mineral-tinged elegance. A recipient of Double Gold at China Wine & Spirits Awards 2018 and Silver at the 2018 Decanter World Wine Awards, it’s an uplifting sparkling for aperitifs or light shared bites.
