Levantine Hill Melissa’s Paddock Syrah, crafted by Paul Bridgeman from a north-facing, single-vineyard block in the cool Upper Yarra Valley, Victoria. Hand-picked and sorted, the fruit underwent whole-berry fermentation with a portion of whole bunches, before maturing in seasoned French oak puncheons. Aromatically intense with blackberry, mulberry, violets, black olive, star anise and cracked pepper, it delivers a palate of dark plum, cocoa nib, cured meat, and savoury spice. Silky yet powerful, with fine-grained tannins and lingering mineral drive. Awarded 97 points by James Halliday, this Syrah is a benchmark of elegance and cellar-worthy depth.
