Levantine Hill Estate Chardonnay 2024 isn’t released yet – Estate whites come out three years after vintage – but it will follow the style of the current Estate Chardonnay: a powerful, mid‑ground Yarra chardy that brings real flavour and texture as well as structure.

The Estate Chardonnay deliberately steps away from ultra‑taut, skinny styles, instead delivering flint, crème anglaise, white nectarine, lemon zest, honeydew melon, almond meal and cinnamon‑apple danish with underlying tempered toasty char and subtle struck‑match complexity. On the palate you can expect medium‑tensile acidity supporting serious flavour and weight, with white grapefruit, toasted hazelnut, makrut lime leaf, saltbush and subtle vanillin layered over tactile chalkiness and a weighty, biscuity texture.

Food‑wise, it’s built for roast chicken, richer white‑fish dishes, scallops, lobster pasta or truffled mushroom risotto – anywhere you want a Chardonnay with both richness and a firm, savoury spine. Once the 2024 Estate Chardonnay is formally released, it will sit above the Levant range in intensity and complexity, and should age comfortably for most of a decade.
