One of the great grapes of the wine world, producers such as the late Trevor Mast, Belinda Thompson, John Nagorcha, Lew Knight, Clemens Bush, Peter Lauer, Arthur Ostertag, just to name a few have all been very inspiring along the way on the riesling consumption journey.

I like to produce riesling with a very simple approach, no fuss, its all about the site being harvested at exactly the right time to express where its from with no tricks.

This wine is all whole bunch pressed to tank, racked the following day where it’s left to ferment on its own time via native yeast, once completed primary it remains on full lees for 8 months & goes through full malo. A small addition of sulphur is added post malo & another small amount prior to estate bottling.

The fruit for this was farmed certified organic by the legendary viticulturist Cory Hope at the Landsborough site, the vineyard sits on well drained soil, composed of loose quartz with shale & siltstone. This results in the wines incredible depth, concentration, minerality & super fresh acid structure.

On release now its a fantastic drink but will benefit from further ageing.
