The 2019 Fetherston Estate Syrah, crafted by Chris Lawrence & Camille Koll in the Pyrenees region of Victoria, is a deeply layered and refined red with real textural poise. Aromas of black plum, violet, cracked pepper and smoked herb build complexity. The palate is medium-bodied, showcasing dark cherry, dried fig and graphite, framed by fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity. A mineral seam of crushed stone adds tension and length to the savory finish. Matured gently in French oak, it balances depth and elegance beautifully. Though formal scores are pending, it’s already showcasing its pedigree as a regional standout – structured, expressive and utterly food-friendly.
