Chard Farm Viper Pinot Noir, crafted by Chard Farm in the Parkburn sub-region of Central Otago, New Zealand. Sam Kim of Wine Orbit awarded it 95 points, noting its “inviting bouquet shows red/black cherry, black tea, floral, bay leaf and nutmeg aromas,” and its concentrated, multi-layered palate that reveals sweet fruit flavours and complex earthy mushroom notes, culminating in a superbly long, delicately drying finish. On the palate, expect poised red and black cherry framed by forest floor spice, a fine mineral thread and elegant, tension-filled tannins. A beautifully structured, terroir-driven Pinot-poised, expressive and endlessly compelling.
