Chalk Hill Estate Chardonnay, crafted with meticulous care in the Chalk Hill AVA of Sonoma County, California. A blend from nine estate clones – including the proprietary Clone 97 – fermented with native yeasts and aged in French oak with frequent lees stirring to build texture and depth. It pours creamy straw and evokes aromas of baked pear tart, lemon curd, toasted marshmallow, star fruit, caramel, exotic spice, vanilla and a lift of fresh acidity. The palate is broad and opulent, yet balanced with lively acid, layers of orchard fruits, gentle oak spice and a long, elegant finish. Scored 95 points by Wine Enthusiast, 94 by Tasting Panel, and 92 by James Suckling.
