Naturally farmed fruit from Ryan O’Meara of Express Winemakers off an old Goundrey Vineyard. Picked in late March 2021 and hand-sorted firstly in the vineyard and then again in the winery, this underwent partial whole-bunch carbonic maceration for between three and 14 days before being gently pressed off by hand-cranked basket press and transferred to older French oak to complete primary fermentation and malolactic over winter and early spring.

Gravity bottled unfined and unfiltered in November 2021 with no additions. Enticing nose of mulberries, blueberries, earthy and savoury spice, the palate is lush, built around a long, fine thread of acid and delicately structured tannins.
