Taltarni’s estate-grown reds are renowned as some of Australia’s longest lived and most cellar-worthy.
With a good wet winter, the vineyard was ideally positioned to support the vines throughout the growing season. With a low yield year, the grapes produced were concentrated in flavour and of the highest quality.
Premium estate shiraz parcels were harvested at site-specific times across five weeks, allowing for true varietal and regional expression. Fermented in small batches, these parcels were kept separate throughout the winery process to maximise each parcel’s uniqueness. The partial whole bunch ferments were submerged, adding to the richness and complexity as well as quickly developing into a silky and balanced wine.
