This is sourced from a lovely, tiny patch of Shiraz on the western side of the Tamar Valley, a high and sunny site between Legana and Rosevears. This area is home to plenty of established vineyards, including St Matthias, Ninth Island and Rosevears Estate (just for some nostalgia).

Although this is from a definitively cool climate, Ricky labels it as Shiraz rather than Syrah, due to the white pepper notes and blue fruits. It spent 12 months in large, old French oak.
