The Laura Lardy Chenas Le Fayarde will make you feel like you’ve just stuck your nose into a bowl of fruit (in a good way).
While the subregion of Chenas may not be as well known as Morgon, Fleurie or Moulin-a-Vent, it is possible to find some incredibly good wines there, and La Fayarde is one example. While it’s not as rich and complex as Lardy’s other wines, it is certainly the freshest and most vibrant.
Red fruits, spice characters and high acid are supported by some surprising structure, with minerality adding a bit of interest to the palate.
