Santa Cristina Campogrande Orvieto Classico Secco 2023, from Antinori’s Santa Cristina estate in Umbria (Orvieto Classico DOC), is a bright, dry white masterfully crafted by winemakers under the stewardship of the Antinori family. The blend of Procanico, Grechetto, Verdello, Drupeggio and Malvasia yields a straw-yellow hue with green highlights. Aromas of golden apple, pear, apricot and citrus blossom lead to a palate that is soft yet fresh, underpinned by brisk acidity and a savory-mineral streak. The finish is clean, thirst-quenching. Decanter awarded the 2021 vintage 88/100. Elegant, food-friendly and excellent value.
