About this product
Eden Road District Sangiovese 2023 is a lively, savoury Gundagai red from Eden Road, sourced from the highly regarded Tumblong vineyard and shaped in an unmistakably Italian style. It is bright rather than heavy, layering red cherry fruit, earth and spice over refreshing acidity and smooth, food-friendly tannins.
Red cherry, cherry pip and dark berries lead the aromatics, joined by dried herbs, earthy notes, spice and a hint of black olive. The Eden Road 2023 District Sangiovese is medium-bodied and tightly framed, with juicy acidity, fine silty tannins and a long, savoury finish that makes it wonderfully moreish.
Pour this elegant Gundagai Sangiovese with wood-fired pizza, slow-cooked lamb ragu, tomato-based pasta, grilled pork sausages or mushroom risotto. Its lively cherry fruit and earthy spice cut beautifully through rich Italian dishes, while its fresh shape makes it equally at home at a casual midweek dinner.
