Gentle Folk Vin de Sofa 2025 from the Adelaide Hills is a lip-smacking, chillable light red built for lazy lunches, sun-drenched catch-ups and, naturally, the sofa. Gareth and Rainbo Belton blend mostly Sangiovese with Syrah and Merlot to create an energetic, unpretentious wine that is impossible not to enjoy.

Sour cherry, raspberry and juicy red plum tumble from the glass, lifted by violet, dried herbs, pepper and a gentle earthy edge. Gentle Folk Vin de Sofa is bright and dry, with crunchy acidity, fine tannins and a soft, slurpy texture that keeps the vibrant fruit flowing right through its savoury finish.

Give this Adelaide Hills red a 30-minute chill and pour it with charcuterie, margherita pizza, grilled sausages or a bowl of pasta with tomato and basil. Its fresh red fruit and subtle spice make it a brilliant all-rounder for salty snacks, vegetarian dishes and relaxed midweek dinners.
