Hedonist Sangiovese 2025 (12 Bottles) Mclaren Vale, SA
About this product
Hedonist Sangiovese 2025 (following the 2024 release style) from McLaren Vale is a savoury, mid‑weight, certified organic and biodynamic Sangiovese that puts bright red fruit, herbs and proper Italianate structure front and centre. The wine shows deep ruby colour with purple hues and a lifted nose of raspberries, red cherries and blueberries, backed by subtle florals, dried herbs and a suggestion of leather and charcuterie spice to keep things nicely savoury.
On the palate it is vibrant and crunchy, with red‑berry and cherry flavours driving through a line of lively acidity and those signature Sangiovese tannins – fine, firm and gently drying – giving a long, racy, food‑ready finish. Fermented with indigenous yeast and matured for about six months in seasoned French oak, it stays pure and fruit‑driven, with oak there for shape rather than flavour.
Food‑wise, Hedonist Sangiovese 2025 is made for tomato‑based pasta, pappardelle ragu, wood‑fired pizza, grilled sausages, porchetta or eggplant parmigiana, plus aged parmesan or pecorino where its bright cherry, herb and savoury notes really sing. With its combination of organic farming, crunchy fruit and fine tannin, it’s a go‑to McLaren Vale option for Sangiovese lovers who want Tuscan‑style structure in an Australian accent.
