Ngeringa Sheoak Syrah 2023 is a beautifully poised Adelaide Hills red from Ngeringa, showing exactly why cool-climate Syrah can be so seductive. Long, slow ripening has delivered generous flavour at a graceful 13.2% alcohol, making this a fragrant, savoury and effortlessly drinkable expression of the style.

Smoked meat and cracked black pepper roll into lilac, rose, brambly boysenberry and tart Davidson plum. Redcurrant brightness, olive tapenade, sweet cedar, cinnamon and allspice add layers, while the 2023 Ngeringa Sheoak Syrah keeps its dark-fruit core fresh rather than heavy, guided by soft tannins and lively acidity.

Pour the Ngeringa Sheoak Syrah 2023 with pepper-crusted steak, roast lamb, chargrilled sausages or slow-cooked beef ragu. Its savoury spice also loves mushroom dishes, grilled eggplant and smoky barbecue flavours. This is a cracking cooler-climate Shiraz for anyone who wants perfume, spice and structure without excessive weight.
