Helen’s Hill Wiseacre Sangiovese

Helen’s Hill Wiseacre Sangiovese 2023, crafted by the Helen’s Hill winemaking team from Victoria’s Heathcote vineyards, delivers an enticing combination of sour cherry, dried herbs and savoury spice. Vibrant and food-friendly, this Italian-inspired Australian red offers a refreshing alternative to heavier styles, with plenty of character to enliven the dinner table.

Serve with wood-fired margherita pizza, tomato-rich pasta or grilled Italian sausages. Mushroom ragù makes another tempting match, complementing the wine’s herbal and savoury nuances. The 2023 Helen’s Hill Wiseacre Heathcote Sangiovese is an inviting choice for shared meals where bright fruit and freshness matter more than sheer weight.

Sour-cherry character leads the way, joined by dried herbs and a gentle savoury-spice accent. The finish stays fresh, giving the fruit definition and keeping each sip engaging. Expressive yet straightforward, this Heathcote Sangiovese brings the pleasure of a lively, food-loving red to relaxed lunches and generous dinners.
