It opens with pure white flowers, crushed alpine rock and lemon pith on the nose, giving a very focused, stony first impression.

The palate is light to medium‑bodied, bone‑dry and concentrated, led by citrus zest and lemon balm with a twist of soft white peach and a whisper of praline adding gentle dimension. Whole‑bunch pressing to steel, ceramic and a single oak puncheon, then six months on lees, build fine chalky texture around racy 11.5% alcohol and crisp acidity, stretching the finish out long and mouth‑watering.

Mada Riesling 2024 is spot‑on with oysters, prawns, sashimi, salt‑and‑pepper squid, Thai or Vietnamese dishes, grilled fish with lemon or fresh goat’s cheese salad, where its citrus, florals and mineral line really sing. It’s a serious but quietly understated Riesling that will drink beautifully now with a bit of air and has the structure to improve in bottle.
