Vino Intrepido Cherry Pick Chilled Montepulciano 2026 is a bright, seriously smashable Heathcote red from Vino Intrepido, crafted by James Scarcebrook for the fridge. This new-wave Australian Montepulciano brings Italian inspiration and sandy-soil fruit together in a pale, juicy style that proves red wine can be the best summer refresher.
Red cherry, raspberry and red berries leap from the glass, joined by orange peel, anise, oregano, rose and a flicker of spice. The palate is ripe, juicy and full of energy, with crunchy acidity and a light dusting of tannin. Vino Intrepido Cherry Pick 2026 has real shape, texture and flavour beyond its easy-going charm.
Serve this chilled Montepulciano lightly cool with charcuterie, mushroom pizza, grilled chicken skewers, tuna steaks or spicy sausage pasta. Its bright red fruit and fresh acid work a treat with salty, smoky flavours, while the gentle tannin means it can handle proper food. Chill lightly rather than ice-cold for the best expression.
