About this product
Aptitude Barbera 2024 is a lively Adelaide Hills red from Greg Clack, delivering Barbera’s unmistakable combination of tart cherry fruit, bright acidity and savoury spice in a cool-climate, food-loving style. This is a fresh, energetic red with plenty of personality and a beautifully lifted finish.
Tart cherry and blood orange lead the way, followed by plum, spiced berries, dried herbs, pine needle and a touch of earth. The Aptitude Barbera 2024 has a crisp, juicy palate with a gently hazy swish of fruit and spice, its racy acidity and fine tannin bringing both tension and impressive drinkability.
Serve Aptitude Barbera 2024 with spaghetti Bolognese, wood-fired pizza, grilled pork sausages, eggplant parmigiana, braised lamb or mushroom pasta. Its mouth-watering acidity cuts superbly through tomato-rich sauces and richer dishes, while its savoury edge makes it an exciting alternative to lighter Shiraz or Pinot Noir.
