Stargazer Chardonnay 2024 is a cool-climate premium wine from Tasmania’s Coal River and Derwent Valley regions, crafted by winemaker Samantha Connew. It is a tightly wound, textural white showing vibrant aromas and flavors of ripe stone fruits, citrus, and subtle oak influence including wisps of struck match. The palate is chalky and pure with excellent balance, defined natural acidity, and a long, complex finish. This wine follows three cooler La Niña years, delivering fine tension and generosity. Critics have given it a 96-point rating, praising its elegance, precision, and cellaring potential. It is regarded as one of the standout Chardonnay wines from Tasmania’s 2024 vintage.
