Piero Busso Barbera D’Alba Majano 2020, Piero Busso, Neive Piedmont, is a fruit-forward delight from the Majano vineyard’s sandy-clay soils at 190 metres – juicy, vibrant Barbera that’s irresistibly moreish for Adelaide’s casual pasta nights and barbecues.​ Beautiful ruby red with purple hues, bursting with ripe red cherry, cassis, maraschino cherries and sweet spice, laced with polished oak, tomato leaf and purple flowers for classic Piedmontese charm.​

On the palate, Barbera D’Alba Majano 2020 delivers full-bodied summer fruit generosity, bracing high acidity, low velvety tannins and a fresh, lingering finish after barrel ageing – pure working-class Piedmont pleasure at 14% that’s dangerously drinkable now through 2028.​ Pairs brilliantly with garlicky tomato pasta, grilled sausages, antipasto or pizza to showcase its juicy accessibility.
