Black fruited aromatics wrapped up in a nougat and hazelnut lift. Plenty of power here, the full bodied core encased in comforting toasty oak with familiar dark chocolate and fruitcake flavours. Mouth swirling medium grained tannin leads to good length and an uplifting inky finish.

Whole berry ferment in small open top fermenters. The must was gravity fed directly to the fermenters without pumping. Seven days on skins with soft pump overs and minimal hand plunging. Gentle basket press extraction with ferment finishing off in barrel over two days. Matured for 18 months in 100% French oak 40% new 60% Seasoned. Two rackings prior to unfiltered bottling.
